Our very first Euroscola project took place on the 30th January when a group of senior bilingual students from the Philips van Horne visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg. After a general morning session, the students split up into smaller groups (each with a different topic) and debated with students from other European countries. Later in the afternoon, everyone returned to the main hall of the European Parliament to bring out their votes on the proposals that emerged from the various group debates. A total of 500 students from 21 different EU countries were present in the European Parliament that day. All in all, it was a very interesting and enriching experience; one that is certainly worth repeating in the future!
