On Tuesday October 18th we had a celebration for the bilingual students of HAVO 5. They received their Cambridge IGCSE certificate for Global Perspectives and they also prepared a presentation on their recent trip to Malta.
During the festive ceremony their teachers reminded us of the aims and goals in Global Perspectives and how the students had to suffice the standards for this subject. The students accomplished their task by sitting a written exam on Whit Monday.
While showing the titles of their personal papers the teachers took us through a portrait of each student.
In the second part of the evening the students entertained us with a presentation on their trip to Malta. During this week in Malta, from 13 to 20 September, these students did a three day internship at different companies at different locations on the island. The culture and history of the Islands and their inhabitants was exposed during a guided tour to Valetta and Mdina. The students themselves arranged a program on Gozo and on Comino to get the necessary activity and recreation during that week.
