September 16 we, 23 students of H5TTO of the Philips van Horne and 3 teachers, went to Malta. The difference in temperature between Weert and this Mediteranean island was such a shock that the only sensible thing to do on arrival was take a swim in the sea.
On Sunday we visited Valetta, the capital of the Island, and the medieval town of Mdina. Our guide Paul was a real entertainer and we had some good laughs.
The first day of the internship the experiences of our students was quite various just like the working hours. The teachers did their best to cook a meal for 26, which took them the whole day.
On the other two internship days some adjustments have been made to make the work more worthwhile.
Thursday morning we took an early bus to the north of the island because we had planned a visit to Gozo as well as a swim at Pardise Bay.
As Comino, the smallest Maltees island, is famous for its Blue Lagoon we chose once more to get up early, take the bus to Cirkewwa and the boat to the island. Like every day of this week the temperature was perfect for a full swimming day. After a fare well diner we had an even shorter sleep to hop on the bus at 4:00 o’clock on Saturday. Without any delay we arrived in Weeze at 10:00.
