On Tuesday the 12th March the regional rounds of the Junior Speaking Contest took place at the Charlemagne College in Landgraaf. Our two finalists were Tijmen Krikke (H2A) and Vera Vanlier (H3A). Unfortunately Vera was ill on the day and it was too short notice to find a replacement. Tijmen did a great job of presenting his speech to the audience as well as the jury and question panel. Even though Tijmen didn’t reach the grand finale, it was a fantastic experience and I’m sure he will be participate again next year.
