The search for the best speakers has begun.
The school round of the Junior Speaking Contest will take place at the Philips van Horne on Thursday 14th January from 14.00 – 16.00 h. Second and third year students from both the Philips van Horne and Het College will be competing for the title of best speaker.
During the competition for the Public Speaking Award students are required to give a 3 minute, self-written speech on a pre-determined subject. This year the theme of the Junior Speaking Contest 2015/2016 is: Simply Speechless.
Students are then asked two questions at the end of their speeches and are judged on the originality of the content and structure of their speeches, as well as use of the English language, delivery and the handling of questions.
We wish all our contestants the very best of luck!
