On Tuesday the 28th November the English storyteller, Nell Phoenix, visited the Philips van Horne to work with our senior bilingual (TTO) students.

She had repertoire of a variety of traditional tales from different countries and a very lively way of narrating them. To begin with, she started with some contemporary urban stories and made the students take part in them interactively. Students also had to think about and discuss the dilemmas in the stories. After that, students could choose what kind of tales they wanted to hear next. So, she told some love stories, scary tales and fairy tales from Japan and China. All in all we had a rather different, but enjoyable IB lesson to the usual.
