On Tuesday 31 March the Philips van Horne receives students and their teachers from two foreign schools. The students from H2G take part in the exchange with their peers from the Alexandru Ceusianu Gimnaziul in Reghin (Romania) and the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Általános Iskola in Erd (Hungary).
After an introduction at school on Tuesday the exchange program consists of lessons at the bilingual department of the Philips van Horne, a visit to the town hall and a meeting with the mayor of Weert on Wednesday. After that the city will be explored and in the evening the students and teachers will all visit the theatre for the “muziekgala”. Thursday will be spend in the fun park Toverland and Friday is filled with environmental research. Guided by volunteers of the “natuur en milieu centrum” and teachers from the three schools, the students will do several water and soil surveys at the “IJzeren Man”.
On Saturday our guests leave and we say goodbye to in May, as our students will make a return visit to either Erd or Reghin.
